Absolutely love Fall/Winter weddings! We didn't have the privilege of styling this bride but I love the picture! Kudos to the photographer...

Here are some pictures from Cara's wedding a couple of weeks ago. We styled her hair as well as her maid of honor's hair. We are looking forward to getting some more pictures from her and as soon as we do...we'll post em!

My favorite picture, by far! Wait till you see it with her birdcage veil!

Thank you Cara for allowing us to be a part of your special day! We wish you many happy years of marriage~

In these last few weeks before Halloween, I figured (until I get pictures uploaded from camera's and phone's), that I'd post some scary hairstyles. :)

I'm slightly doubtful of the first 2...for real?

We had a wonderful trial style last night with Shannon! She walked out of the door and we realized we had taken NO pictures. AGH!!!
It turned out great though...she looked like Adele's twin sister. Beautiful~

~The Birdcage Veil~

I LOVE the birdcage veils! We've worked with a handful of brides that have incorporated them into their wedding hair style and it's gorgeous.

Here are a few different hairstyles that compliment the birdcage veil:

Her hair is curled and pulled into a soft, side pony. The birdcage decor piece is placed on the opposite side of the pony to provide balance.

Her hair is curled and swept up into a side updo. Again, notice the decor piece on the veil is on the opposite side of the updo.

Beautiful, sleek updo. Decor piece is at the base of the updo.

Classic half up/half down style. This birdcage veil doesn't have a decor piece. However, one could easily be added to either side. This veil attaches to the half up section of hair.

No matter your hair length, the birdcage veil works! Notice the front of the hair slightly swept back with the decor piece tucked right in. Absolutely beautiful!

Need help figuring out where to put your veil?

Your hairstylist can help! At your trial style, have your veil handy so that you and your stylist can play with a few ideas. Having options will help you not feel like there's a set way you HAVE to wear it.

If your veil has a blusher (the piece to cover your face), your veil will need to be placed as close to the front of the hairstyle as possible. You will lose the dramatic effect the blusher if it's placed too far back.

No blusher? Your veil can be placed pretty much anywhere.

If you have a good hairstylist, they will make sure your veil and hairstyle compliment eachother.

Contact us today if you are having a December wedding! We have 2 weekends available.

~The truth about 5 hair myths~

1-Lemon juice can lighten blond hair.
FACT- The only difference you'll notice is dryer hair.

2-Save $$ by using mayonnaise as conditioner.
FACT-You'll end up with extremely greasy hair for a couple of weeks and it smells.

3-Trimming makes hair grow faster.
FACT-Your hair grows from the root...not the end. If you're trying to obtain healthier looking hair, make sure your eating a healthy diet and cut back on the use of heated styling tools.

4-If you pluck 1 grey, 3 more will grow back in its place.
FACT-It takes months for a new hair to even poke thru your scalp. Pulling hair out will actually damage the follicles and lead to hair loss.

5-Split ends can be sealed.
FACT-The only real way to rid yourself of split ends it to trim them off. There are products that you can use to temporarily seal them off but they will return.
